A Straighter Smile Without the Fuss
If you’re interested in a straighter smile, but you want to avoid the hassle of highly visible orthodontic treatment, Invisalign may be right for you. This revolutionary treatment uses multiple sets of clear plastic aligners in lieu of metal brackets to give you a beautiful, straight smile. Book a consultation today to see if you’re a good candidate.
Invisalign has a number of great benefits that make it a popular orthodontic option. The aligners are virtually invisible and they do not affect speech when worn, so you can correct your smile without anyone knowing you’re in the middle of treatment. You can also remove your aligners to brush and floss, and to eat and drink, so it’s easy to keep your mouth healthy as you straighten your smile. Treatment is also usually faster than braces, and Invisalign is more comfortable compared to bulky, traditional braces.
During your consultation, one of our dentists will perform a comprehensive oral exam to determine whether you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. If you have minor-to-moderate orthodontic issues, Invisalign will likely be a great orthodontic option for you.
Once you’ve been approved for Invisalign treatment, we’ll scan your mouth and take images of your teeth. Then, the team at the Dental Health Center of Holmdel will work with Invisalign to create a customized treatment plan to give you the straight smile you’ve always wanted. Creating your treatment plan may take up to a month.
Once your treatment plan is finished and your aligners are created, you’ll come to our office to pick up your first several sets. Each set is to be worn for about 2 weeks, and must be worn for 20-22+ hours per day. If you don’t wear your aligners properly, this can result in treatment delays and other issues, so make sure to follow your dentist’s instructions.
Throughout treatment, you’ll need to come to our office every 4-6 weeks for a brief checkup with your dentist, and to get your next few aligner sets. This process will continue until your treatment is complete.
Once you’ve finished with your final set of aligners, you’ll return to our office for one last checkup, and you’ll get a set of retainers. Make sure to wear your retainers as instructed after your Invisalign treatment is complete. This will keep your teeth from shifting back to their original positions.
As long as your mouth is healthy and free of cavities and gum disease, and you do not have severe bite problems or extremely crooked teeth, Invisalign may be an option for you. To find out if you’re a good candidate, just call the team at the Dental Health Center of Holmdel to book a consultation.
